Philip A. Falcone has served as a director of HC2 since January 2014, and as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of HC2 since May 2014. Mr. Falcone served as a director, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of HRG Group, Inc. (f/k/a Harbinger Group Inc., “HRG”) from July 2009 to November 2014. From July 2009 to July 2011, Mr. Falcone also served as the President of HRG. Mr. Falcone is also the Chief Investment Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Harbinger Capital Partners LLC (“Harbinger Capital”), and is the Chief Investment Officer of other Harbinger Capital affiliated funds. Mr. Falcone co-founded the funds affiliated with Harbinger Capital in 2001. Mr. Falcone has over two decades of experience in leveraged finance, distressed debt and special situations. Prior to joining the predecessor of Harbinger Capital, Mr. Falcone served as Head of High Yield trading for Barclays Capital. From 1998 to 2000, he managed the Barclays High Yield and Distressed trading operations. Mr. Falcone held a similar position with Gleacher Natwest, Inc., from 1997 to 1998. Mr. Falcone began his career in 1985, trading high yield and distressed securities at Kidder, Peabody & Co. Mr. Falcone currently serves on the board of directors of Inseego Corp. (NASDAQ: INSG), a provider of intelligent wireless solutions for the worldwide mobile communications market, and he also serves as a director at several of HC2's subsidiaries. Mr. Falcone received an A.B. in Economics from Harvard University.
Mr. Pons has over 30 years of senior level management experience with early stage ventures and Fortune 500 and turnaround companies. He has served as a director of HC2 since September 2011, President and Chief Executive Officer of HC2 from August 2013 to January 2014, Executive Chairman of HC2 from January 2014 to April 2014, and Executive Vice President of Business Development since April 2014. From 2011 to 2014 he was Chairman of Live Microsystems, formerly Livewire Mobile, Inc., a comprehensive one-stop digital content solution for mobile carriers. From 2008 to 2011, Mr. Pons was Senior Vice President of TMNG Global, a leading provider of professional services to the communications converging media and entertainment industries and the capital formation firms that support it. Mr. Pons has also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Uphonia, Inc. a wireless applications service provider, President of FreedomPay, Inc., a wireless device payment processing company and President of Lifesafety Solutions, Inc., an enterprise software company. Mr. Pons has held management positions with several telecommunications companies including MCI, Inc., Sprint, Inc. and Geotek, Inc. Mr. Pons currently serves on the board of directors of Concurrent Computer Corporation and DragonWave, and as Vice-Chairman of MRV Communications. Within the past five years, he has also served on the boards of directors of Proxim Wireless Corporation, Network-1 Security Solutions, Inc. and Arbinet Corporation. Mr. Pons received a B.A. degree from Rowan University.
Mr. Tuder joined the Inseego Board of Directors in June 2017. He is an experienced private equity and public securities investor with over 20 years of investment experience, having worked closely with executive management teams and board members of both public and private companies across a variety of industries. Mr. Tuder’s public equity and hedge fund experience includes investment roles at Tremson Capital, JHL Capital Group, and KSA MidOcean. His private equity and fixed income experience includes positions at Fortress Investment Group, Nassau Capital (an affiliate of Princeton University’s endowment), ABS Capital Partners, and CapitalSource Finance.
Mr. Tuder currently serves as an Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee for MRV Communications (NASD: MRVC), a publicly-traded telecommunications network equipment provider, and he serves on the Board of Advisors of Clique (www.cliqueapi.com), a privately held voice communications solutions provider. Mr. Tuder has previously served on the board of directors of various privately held companies across a number of industries. He is a graduate of Yale University where he obtained a B.A. in English Literature.
Dan Mondor has over 35 years of telecommunications and media technology experience with global Fortune 500 and privately held corporations. Dan has received numerous telecommunications industry awards for innovation and market impact and was recognized by ExecRank as a top Micro-Cap CEO for driving shareholder value.
Prior to joining Inseego Corporation, Mr. Mondor provided corporate strategy and M&A advisory services to the telecommunications industry through his private consulting firm, from April 2016 to June 2017. From March 2015 to March 2016, he was President and CEO of Spectralink Corporation, a private-equity owned global company that designs and manufactures mobile-workforce telecommunications products for global enterprises, including Android powered WiFi smartphones. From April 2008 to November 2014, Mr. Mondor was the President and CEO of Concurrent Computer Corporation (Nasdaq: CCUR), a global company that designs and manufactures IP video delivery systems and real-time Linux based software solutions for global service providers, military, aerospace, and automotive and financial service industries. From February 2007 to March 2008, he was President of Mitel Networks, Inc., a subsidiary of Mitel Networks Corporation (Nasdaq: MITL), a global company that designs and manufactures business communications systems and mobile communications technology to serve the enterprise and wireless carrier markets. Prior to that, Mr. Mondor held a number of executive positions during his 16 year career at Nortel Networks, in general management, marketing, sales and product-line management. During a period of hyper-growth at Nortel, to become a $10B dominant market share leader, Mr. Mondor was VP and GM of Enterprise Network Solutions, VP and General Manager of Global Cable Operator Solutions, and VP of Global Marketing for Nortel’s Optical Internet business. Mr. Mondor holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba, and executive education from the Cornell Graduate School of Management and Duke Fuqua School of Business.
